I recently received a DUI in Los Angeles and I am wondering what's the next step?
Recently, I was pulled over and received a DUI. At the scence, I took the field sobriety test and blew a 0. 087% but when I got to the station, I only blew a 0. 07% 30 min. apart. I was also speeding and got clocked at 90mph in a 65mph zone. Is there any way I can get the DUI reduced to a lower offense? Do I even have a case? Should I get an attorney? This is also my first traffic violation in 11 years- First time DUI offenders are fined $250. 00 to $500. 00 dollars but with the speeding ticket the fine could be $1000. 00 to $1500. 00 dollars, court fees plus you must attend a DUI education course, higher insurance rates and points. better get a lawyer

Look in the yellow pages, on - line, or preferably, ask a friend or relative for a recommendation. Here a laywer runs about $150. 00 for a first time DUI. For me they have had DUI's reduced to careless driving, and speeding reduced to defective equipment to save points on my license
